On Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at about 9:30 p.m., officers from the Richfond Police Station apprehended a male at a Belmont commercial facility for possessing one Black Glock pistol and a magazine with no ammunition.
The suspect, Boniface Goracksing, a 62-year-old carpenter from Derniere Riviere in Dennery, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Firearm.
On Friday, April 11, 2025, he was led before the First District Court and granted bail of $13,000.00 cash or acceptable surety, plus various court restrictions.
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force considers this operation a huge success. The joint efforts of all participating units resulted in the safe execution of high-risk warrants, the arrest of key individuals, and the removal of deadly weapons and ammunition from the streets. The seizure of armor-piercing rounds emphasizes the ongoing threat presented by illicit firearms, as well as the significance of long-term and planned police effort in protecting communities.
The RSLPF says it remains committed to disrupting criminal networks and improving public safety through proactive law enforcement and intelligence-led operations.
