ONE week before Saint Lucia celebrated its 46th Independence, three Saint Lucians based in New York were honoured by the Transformation Centre Outreach (TCO) of the state of New York.

Peter L. Dieudonne, Laurine Joseph-Lofaso and Matthias Wilkie were the three Saint Lucians honoured. Dieudonne and Lofaso were awarded The President’s Lifetime Achievement Award. They are two Watch Radio personalities and were recognised for outstanding service to the diaspora.

The awards were presented during the TCO Night of Splendor, Gala and President’s Volunteer Service Award Ceremony held on Saturday, February 15th. The Saint Lucians were also awarded a Certificate of Merit by the New York State Assembly and received a City Council Citation.

This recognition is a testament to the incredible work being done—not just by the honourees, but by Watch Radio as a whole which continues to have a lasting impact on the diaspora.

Peter Dieudonne has built a multifaceted career encompassing accounting, media, and community engagement. After spending several years in the United Kingdom pursuing his accounting profession, Peter migrated to the United States in 2011 and now resides in Brooklyn, NY, with his wife and two children.
