
Avid fans packed the city circuit last Sunday to witness both young and seasoned riders in the 2025 Independence Criterium.
The energy was palpable as competitors displayed their grit and enthusiasm before a crowd that has long celebrated the beloved ‘inner-city’ cycle races, which are making a strong comeback.
Among the standout performers was Denver Alphonse, a young rider making waves in Martinique and other regional events. Merkelan Dornelly and Gillan Moses also demonstrated remarkable talent, particularly in the long-distance routes.
