THIS season’s Ministry of Youth Development and Sports Inter-District Primary School Under 13 Table Tennis Championship started smoothly with District 1 Male and Female teams dominating the competition.
The event, organized in partnership with the Saint Lucia National Table Tennis Association, wrapped up an exhilarating day of matches at the Beausejour Indoor Facility on Wednesday.
Participating Districts: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, and 8 (male and female teams)
Boys’ Division: The District 1A team, featuring R. Harris and A. George, decisively defeated the District 1B team of M. Stanislas and M. Clifford with an impressive score of 3-0. This victory marks the ninth consecutive championship title for the District 1 male team, solidifying their dominance.
In the battle for third place, the District 4A team of S. Deterville and L. Arthur triumphed over the District 6B team of L. Marquis and D. Joseph with a score of 3-1.
Girls’ Division: In the girls’ competition, the District 1A team, represented by N. Goddard and K. Edward, convincingly defeated the District 6A team of M. Linor and E. Braville with a score of 3-1.
The District 4A team of J. Joseph and A. Emmanuel claimed third place by overcoming the District 6B team of S. Pelage and K. Montoute in a fiercely contested match, winning 3-2.
