CHUM Donates Medical Equipment to Health Ministry

The Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Elderly Affairs delegation to Martinique, has once again benefited from the generosity of the University Hospital of Martinique (CHUM) through the donation of medical equipment.

This contribution highlights CHUM’s continued commitment to supporting the Government of Saint Lucia and strengthening the island’s healthcare system.

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Elderly Affairs, Ms Jenny Daniel, formally received the donation on behalf of the Government of Saint Lucia, expressing gratitude for the hospital’s continued support.

The medical equipment, which includes essential devices and supplies aimed at improving patient care and hospital services, is expected to arrive in Saint Lucia by the end of February 2025.

This latest contribution follows a series of collaborative efforts between CHUM and the Ministry of Health, which have facilitated knowledge exchange, training programs, and medical support to bolster Saint Lucia’s healthcare infrastructure.

The Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Elderly Affairs extends its appreciation to Saint Lucia’s Council General and the CHUM University Hospital for their unwavering support to the February 06 visiting delegation and commitment to strengthening healthcare services in Saint Lucia.
