Hosted by the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports tonight’s ceremony is a mainstay on the Independence calendar. The nominees for the various titles were nominated by their respective national associations and federations.
Additionally, individuals and teams who have significantly contributed to the development of sports over the past year will be recognized.
Fifteen associations and federations have submitted nominees, including the Saint Lucia Athletics Association, Saint Lucia National Cricket Association, Saint Lucia Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, Saint Lucia Aquatics Federation, Saint Lucia Table Tennis Association, Saint Lucia Volleyball Federation, Saint Lucia Special Olympics, Saint Lucia Darts Association, Saint Lucia Tennis Association, Saint Lucia Basketball Federation, Saint Lucia Boxing Association, Saint Lucia Sailing Association, Netball Saint Lucia, and Saint Lucia Football Association.
