In a breathtaking final, the Valley Legends  tenaciously, overcame a spirited Vieux Fort South/Central Combined team 3-2 to seize the championship title.

The two-day event was a powerful testament to the strong connection between healthy living and sports, with vibrant colours supporting the Kick for a Cure initiative prominently on display. A Health Fair offering free medical services further highlighted the occasion.

After a fierce opening showdown on Saturday, the winning sides carried their momentum into the decisive rounds on Sunday.

While the VFSCC team displayed impressive offensive aggression from their first match, the Valley Legends demonstrated resilience, often having to advance through nail-biting penalty shootouts.

However, when it mattered most, Valley Legends raised their game, decisively outpacing their friendly rivals. They took an early lead in the final, only for VFSCC to equalize, with the likes of former professionals and national players Titus “Titi” Elva, and Earl “Ball Hog” Jean in their squad.

As the tension mounted, VFSCC surged ahead to make it 2-1. Determined not to be outdone, Valley Legends rallied in the latter stages, with their lineup including some of their own ‘gritty warriors’ netting two quick and decisive goals to clinch a hard-fought victory.

The roster of competitors included the Gros Islet Veterans, Marchand Veterans, CARICOM Masters, Soufriere Veterans, Laborie Veterans, Lancers FC, VF North Veterans, Anse La Raye Veterans, All Blacks Dennery, and Mon Repos Sharks.

Gros Islet and Mon Repos Sharks earned third and fourth places, respectively.

The organizers expressed their deep appreciation for the unwavering support from sponsors, the public, players, teams, and the passionate fans who turned out for this remarkable event.

To conclude the festivities, patrons were treated to an electrifying live entertainment lineup featuring Imran Nerdy, Teddyson “TJ” John, and Ezra.
