The world stood still for a moment, waiting for the results of the general election in America.
The victory no doubt of Mr Trump was the wishes of the masses and regardless of your personal opinion, it is what it is.
The election, from my viewpoint, was won on comparisons of a past period of economic gain compared to the existing situation of inflation.
So the varying plans spouted by the Republican Party, to Make America Great Again, and improve the economy, as well as to get rid of the thousands of daily migrants, deal with the raging wars, and unite the leaders of the First World, all seem like genuine ideas that would work in the interest of the American people.
Whatever negative comments that have been said about Trump matters not, because money talks and people’s talks will not change the price of coffee.
There are many worldwide who are afraid of what’s to come, but the American people are united and comfortable with their choice of leader. As for a woman being in charge of the military and taking necessary action to quell the tension in the Middle East, in Ukraine or in the Civil wars in Africa, very few felt that the vice president was capable of dealing with such affairs.
The big money that was injected into the party’s campaign made a major difference and assisted in Mr Trump’s goals and ambitions.
Meanwhile, at home here, I am worried that lots of money will also be spent on the upcoming elections to convince voters that going back to the past will also be more rewarding than accepting that the present government is doing a good job as it relates to economic growth and social development.
All the intended good will be seen as meaningless unless a selected few become the Government again.
As for the blame game and the mepuis and misinformation, this will be the order of the day and I also suspect if positive strides are made as it relates to Law and Order, some will say that the government of the day is jailing all the young and cares little about their livelihood and that is one of the reasons that a new hall of justice is being considered, and a holding cell re-enacted to deal with suspects. Despite all the gains and advancement in the health sector and all the new concessions and physical improvement and added technological advances in that sector, it will still all be condemned.
All the loans and grants, opportunities geared toward the young people will be condemned as superficial and some of us will continue to blame the government for rising prices and not accept that our choice of lifestyle may be the cause of our present predicament.
The truth matters not in these times, it is easier to accept propaganda that deals with the facts. The people will continue to blame rather than accept that they could be the reason why things are as they are.
The importers will seek profits before lowering the price of goods and services, even though they do bulk purchasing and get major discounts, depending on where they outsource their goods.
As for me, I look and learn and try to be objective and don’t get caught on the propaganda train, or be influenced by want-to-be Ministers.
