Update on Robbery at Financial Institution

ON Wednesday, August 28, 2024, the Criminal Investigations Department in Castries, along with other police units, responded to a robbery report at a financial institution in Choc, Castries.

The Special Investigations Unit was called in and began investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. Several lines of inquiry were pursued, including the execution of search warrants, which led to the arrests of two male suspects.

On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, charges were formally brought against the individuals.

Corneil St. Louis of Darling Road, Castries, was charged with three counts of aiding and abetting kidnapping and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery.

Joel Phulgence of Barre St. Joseph was charged with robbery, three counts of aiding and abetting kidnapping, and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery.

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force remains committed to pursuing individuals involved in criminal activities. All resources will be utilized to ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice and citizen security is restored.
