Unionisation for Tapion Hospital Pharmacy Technicians

PHARMACY Technicians at Tapion Hospital participated in a Secret Ballot Poll conducted by the Department of Labour. The results were overwhelmingly positive, with 100% of the technicians voting in favour of unionization under the National Workers Union (NWU).

This successful vote ensures that the workers now have Trade Union representation. Consequently, Labour Commissioner Joseph Joseph has issued a Recognition Certificate to the NWU, officially designating it as the Bargaining Agent for these employees.

The NWU plans to hold a general meeting with the employees soon to elect a Shop Steward and draft a memorandum of proposals. These proposals will serve as the foundation for the upcoming negotiations with management.
