The Saint Lucia-China Friendship Association (SLCFA) congratulates the People’s Republic of China (PRC) on the 75th anniversary of its establishment on October 1, 1949.
The PRC has, over the past four decades, developed from a poor developing country to one of the most powerful nations on Planet Earth in 2024, offering global leadership in everything from diplomacy to peace, economics and geopolitics, while helping engineer the world’s future in harmony with Nature.
The PRC also leads the world in the implementation of the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for Poverty Reduction and its contribution to the fight against Climate Change is also noted and acknowledged by the UN.
Today, the PRC helps lead the BRICS Alliance (with Brazil, Russia, India and South Africa) and the grouping represents more people and has more natural resources and higher income earnings, than the G-7, European Union (EU) and USA.
The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is able to confront challenges in the South and East China Seas and the PLA’s navy is sufficiently strong to also meet any challenges in the Taiwan Strait.
The SLCFA congratulates the 103-year-old Communist Party of China (CPC) on its leadership of the PRC for the past seven-and-a-half decades, as well as the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), on its 70th anniversary.
The CPAFFC will host the 6th China Latin America and Caribbean Region People-to-People Friendship Forum in Xi’an province next week, to be attended by delegates from across the world.
Meanwhile, the SLCFA will celebrate its 20th Anniversary in November 2024 and is planning opportune activities for the event, with eyes on regeneration and continuity for the next two decades.
