A total of 10 bands participated in this year’s Junior Carnival Parade representing communities from across the island.
The event was a platform for young people to showcase their talents through costume design, music, and other forms of cultural presentation instilling in them a love for the arts, and an appreciation for Saint Lucian cultural traditions.
The band Just Us Kids captured the Junior Band of the Year title with Idoms of the Eyes with 428 points. Coming in second place was the band Nous Wivé with its portrayal of Shaleh Sho (401) with R&E Junior taking the third spot with its portrayal of ‘A Magical dream and Enchanted Garden’.
