TWO young Saint Lucian players have soared in the volleyball fame as they become undisputed champions of the Sub-Regional Junior League Championships.
Saint Lucian duo Rio Victor and Peter Emmanuel are the undefeated champions of the Caribbean Zonal Volleyball Association (CAZOVO) and Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) Beach Under 19 World Championships Qualification Tournament.
Saint Lucia defeated Trinidad and Tobago 2-0 in the final at the Courland Beach Sports Facility in Black Rock, Tobago on Sunday, May 26.
In addition to winning, the Saint Lucian athletes secured their tickets to the main draw of the Federation de Internationale Volleyball (FIVB) World Championship, to be held in China, from August 27 to September 1.
On the road to victory, Saint Lucia defeated Martinique 2-0.

Saint Lucia defeated Antigua and Barbuda 2-0.
Set scores: 21-6, 21-4.
Quarterfinal, Saint Lucia defeated Grenada 2-0.
Set scores: 25-9, 25-10.
Semifinal, Saint Lucia defeated Saint Kitts and Nevis 2-0.
Set scores: 21-14, 21-7.
Finals, Saint Lucia defeated Trinidad and Tobago 2-0.
