Police Operation in Vieux Fort Leads to Arrest and Ammunition Recovery

On Sunday, June 9, 2024, the Vieux-Fort Police Station, in collaboration with the Tactical Response Unit, conducted an operation within the Bruceville community in Vieux Fort. The operation aimed to curb the prevalence of illegal firearms and ammunition on the streets.

During the operation, officers searched the home of a forty-three-year-old Bruceville resident. They successfully recovered a 9mm pistol, four magazines, and fifty-two rounds of ammunition from a nearby area. The resident was detained for questioning in connection with the discovery but was subsequently released pending further investigations.
