
THE Ministry of Youth Development and Sports (MYDS) has expressed its sincere and heartfelt condolences on the passing of young cricketer Jaheem Simeon.Â
Ministry personnel say they are deeply saddened over the loss of Simeon, 16, who was a student of the Corinth Secondary School.
It is reported that earlier this month, Jaheem was struck in the eye by a cricket ball, and unfortunately, lost his life some days later.
Simeon represented Saint Lucia and the Windward Islands at the Under-15 level and was a player on the CSS team, as well as a member of the Northern Cluster Grassroots Cricket programme.
A ministry spokesperson stated, “All of us here at the Ministry extend heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and cricket associates during this time of bereavement.”
