Carnival Queen Motorcade Today

This year is the 70th staging of the National Carnival Queen Pageant
The Motorcade will be held this Saturday, June 22 from 9 am.
It will begin at the National Cultural Centre, go through the William Peter Boulevard in the City of Castries, along the John Compton Highway and end at the JQ Mall in Rodney Bay.
The public is encouraged to come out to the JQ Mall to meet the delegates, Lucian Carnival ambassadors, and several other local musicians.
The Seven delegates are:
- Aeryn George – Miss Windjammer Landing & Residences
- Anneka Thompson – Miss Bank of Saint Lucia
- Kadin Antoine – Miss Caribcation
- Menella Sebaram – Miss Caribbean Galaxy & Real Estate
- Shan Lucien – Miss Bounty Rum
- Tunisia President – Miss Pierre Marcel
- Yaneil Joseph – Miss Duty Free Pointe Seraphine

The semi- final round of the Groovy & Power Soca Monarch competition for Lucian Carnival will be held this Weekend

9 artists will be selected in each category to move on to the finals which will be held on Friday, July 5 at the SAB.
The reigning Groovy monarch is Arthur Allain and Power Soca Monarch is Imran Nerdy.

The semi- final round of the Calypso Monarch competition for Lucian Carnival will be held this Weekend

The reigning Calypso Monarch is Ti-Blacks.
18 Calypsonians will compete in this round of competition. After the semifinals stage, nine calypsonians will be selected to move on to the finals.
Calypsonians qualifying for the semi-finals are:
