On Tuesday, March 5, 2024, the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) conducted a joint operation within the Northern and Central Divisions, involving officers from the Southern Division Tactical teams, Bicycle Patrol Unit and the Vulnerable Persons Team.
During the operation, officers executed six search warrants and apprehended five individuals for offences ranging from the Possession of Prohibited Firearms and Ammunition and Money Laundering.
1. Several houses in Dennery were searched, resulting in the apprehension of five individuals and seizure of:
a) Sixty-six rounds of 5.56 ammunition
b) Fifty-one rounds of .40 ammunition
c) Eight rounds of 9mm ammunition
d) Cartridge cases with one magazine containing thirty-seven (37) rounds of 5.56 ammunition
e) One (1) Glock 27 Firearm with an auto sear and fifteen rounds of .40 ammunition
f) One AR15 assault rifle
g) A quantity of cash (EURO) was also confiscated.
During the joint police operation several traffic checks were conducted, resulting, 47 vehicles being checked. Thirteen traffic tickets were issued for various traffic violations.
