YESTERDAY, about 8:50 am, officers attached to the Dennery Police Station received and responded to a report, regarding the discovery of a body at Anse Canot, Dennery.
Upon arrival at the scene, the investigators came across a motor vehicle, parked alongside the Anse Canot road. An examination of the vehicle led to the discovery of an unresponsive and motionless body of a male individual. The investigators also observed an apparent wound to the head of the victim.
Emergency Medical Technicians from the Saint Lucia Fire Service also responded to the report. The technicians attended to the victim, who was subsequently pronounced dead on the scene by a medical practitioner.
This matter is being actively investigated as a homicide. The victim has been identified as 49-year-old Gillean Lubin alias ‘Rima’, a resident of La Pointe, Dennery. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
