THE St. Lucia Olympic Committee (SLOC) Inc. wishes to inform the nation that four athletes from three disciplines will represent Saint Lucia at this year’s Pan American Games to be held in Santiago, Chile, starting October 20, 2023.
David Christopher will serve as Chef de Mission, and will be assisted by Lisa Joseph.
The other team members are:
• Athletics: Delan Edwin – 200m & Naomi London – 200m
• Sailing: Luc Chevrier — Laser Class
• Swimming: Jayhan Odlum Smith: 100m Butterfly & 100m Freestyle
Saint Lucia’s lone sailor, Luc Chevrier, is already in Chile preparing for his event. From all reports, the sea appears to be choppy with light winds. Such conditions will undoubtedly pose a challenge for Luc and the other sailors should they continue during competition.
The Swimming delegation will arrive in Chile on October 17, 2023, ahead of their competition which will begin on October 22, 2023.
The Athletics delegation will arrive last on October 28, 2023, for their event on November 1, 2023.
