THE Saint Lucia Aquatics Federation (SLAF) has selected its 2023 National OECS Swimming Team comprising of 33 talented swimmers with an additional 4 reserves.
According to the SLAF, it is still awaiting confirmation from overseas swimmers to finalize the full squad, further the selected athletes have demonstrated exceptional dedication, talent, and determination in their pursuit of excellence in the sport of swimming.
βThese outstanding individuals will represent Saint Lucia with pride and determination at the 31st OECS Swimming Championships,β SLAF President, Eddie Hazell, expressed, adding, βWe are thrilled to unveil our 2023 National OECS Swimming Team, and we have every confidence in their ability to make Saint Lucia proud. This event provides a fantastic platform for our swimmers to showcase their skills and compete against some of the best talent in the OECS region.β
The coaching staff for the 2023 National OECS Swimming Team includes Head Coach Andy Edwards, along with Assistant Coaches Evelyn Day and John Mc Lennon. Their experience and expertise will play a crucial role in preparing the team for success at the upcoming championships.

The SLAF says it will continue to work diligently to confirm the participation of overseas swimmers and to complete the squad, as the event promises to be a showcase of talent and sportsmanship.
SLAF adds that it is eager to see its athletes compete at the highest level.
