Three matches were played in the Bordelais Correctional Facility Futsal competition at the Richfond Playing Field, last weekend.
On Sunday, Verne Garde Alliance defeated Agard (I) 4 – 0; goal scorers were Jaline Hippolyte, Tarell Henry, Marcellus Epithane and Mervin Clerice.
In the Female category Marchand got past Dennery 3-1 in a hard-fought encounter. Frannie Wilkie scored a brace and Emerly Edward netted a goal while Briell Mathurin pulled one back for Dennery female.
In the day’s final encounter, Agard 2 went down to Mark FC 4 – 1. Scoring for the victors were Junius Asson, Magaran Joseph, Ian Fevriere and Dison Joseph. Eli Ferdinand scored for Agard 2.
Meanwhile, football action in the Marchand Football League (MFL) resumed at the Marchand Grounds last Saturday (June 8) with a double header.
Donavan Phillip converted a hat trick with goals in the 42nd minute, in the 10th minute of added on time in the first half and in the 90th minute, as Arundell Hill defeated VSADC U -21, 5 – nil. Other goal scorers were Ekiel Greenags 72nd and Joshua La Force 83rd min.
In the other game played, Boulevard defeated Pavee 3 – 1, with goals from Kennedy Joseph, 71st and 86th minutes and Kimsvy Cherebin in the 50th min. Sebastien Willie scored for Pavee in the 14th min.
The competition continued on Sunday (June18) with Bagatelle edging out Rock Hall 1 – 0 with a goal from Edward Clery in the 49th minute.
