BCF Futsal Soccer continues to Generate Keen Competition

The Bordelais Correctional Facility/ Futsal competition has been generating lots of excitement and interest since the kick off some weeks ago.

On Sunday matches continued at the Richmond Playing Field.

Correctional Officers Burin FC defeated the residents Herman FC 12 – 0 with goals from  Akim Louisy 5, Rohan Lammie and Savio Renee 2 each, one each from Sachin Rampal and Jahneil Gaston and an own goal from Ray Estaphane.

In the Female category Dennery defeated Boulevard 5 – 3. Sadee Stephens netted a hat trick for Dennery, while Joanne Alphonse and Serna Jn. Baptiste got one each.

Renna Eugene 2 and Princess Jean one scored for Boulevard.

In the final game Pavee edged out Trois Piton 5-4 in an exciting encounter. For Pavee, Naige Jn. Baptiste scored a brace and one each from Kennedy Willie, Shaquille Augustin and Arthur Augustin.

Scoring for Trois Piton were O’Neil Remy with a brace, Rolando Joseph and an own goal by Shaquille Gaston.

Meanwhile, matches continued in the La Clery Football League/ Parliamentary Cup at the La Clery Playing Field over the weekend.

On Saturday (June 4th) in the first of a double header, Agardianz defeated La Clery U 19, 3 – 2, with goals from Kingson Carson 16th, Ricardo Joseph 24th and Kevin Dudre 44th minutes.

Jarrell Fedee and Sherquan Charles scored in the 21st and 41st minutes respectively for La Clery U 19.

Radics and Active Strikers played to an exciting 5 – 5 draw. Scoring for Active Strikers were   Surve Walcott an own goal in the 9th, Ahmal Arthur 25th, Benjamin Mc Donald 42nd, Rudy Kenson a penalty 47th and Acy Adlien another penalty in the 79th minutes.

Radics got their goals from Gevon Gordon a hat trick in the 15th 33rd 65th minutes, the latter a penalty, Ronham Cooper 49th and Shawn Alcee 69th min.

Matches continued on Sunday 4th June, with Lancers U 19 swamping Island Vibe Brotherhood 9 – 0. Lancers  goal scorers were, D’ Andre Preville a hat trick in the 13th, 30th and 31st minutes, braces from Jimmy Taylan 2nd and 49th minutes and Deshawn Paul in the 25th a and 65th minutes. Rounding off the scoring were Noah Ermay 12th and Judah Jeremie 45th minutes respectively.

In the final game played, VSADC U 19 got the better of La Clery Veterans 4 – 1, with a hat trick from Tariver Charlouis 1st, 6th and 14th minutes and the other from Khamas Morille 28th minute.

Jerry Charles pulled one back for the Veterans in the 56th min.

In the meantime, Monchy FC got the better of the challenges to capture the Gros Islet Football League/ Troy Greenidge Pre-season Tournament at the Gros Islet Playing Field on Sunday 4th June.

In a hard-fought and thrilling final encounter, Troy Greenidge scored a decisive goal in the 82nd minute, to ensure Monchy emerge victorious over New Generations FC 1-nil.

At the Post Match Awards Presentation, the following prizes were awarded:

Champions – Monchy FC

Runners-up – New Generations FC

Tournament MVP & Top Goal Scorer – Troy Greenidge – Monchy FC

Young Emerging Player – Rickelme Lionel – New Generations FC

Best Coach – Zane Stephen – Monchy FC.

In other updates; the SLFA extends congratulations to Melvin Doxilly and his team Mt. Pleasant FA on reaching the final of the Jamaica Premier League after beating Arnett Gardens 5 – 3 on aggregate.
