Gros Islet vs. La Clery in SLFA Premier League Finals

Gros Islet takes on La Clery in the finals of the SLFA Inc. Island Cup Premier League Finals scheduled for the Soufriere Mini Stadium tomorrow, Sunday February 19.

The suburban city team, La Clery has had a good run of form in the competition, to top the points table, with Gros Islet on their heels. In the semifinal matchups, La Clery defeated Dennery while Gros Islet got the better of Canaries.

Prior to the finals, the Third Place Play Off will feature defending champions Canaries coming up against Dennery.

Following the Finals, the Prize Giving Ceremony will follow.

Meanwhile, the prize giving ceremony for the 2nd Division Club Championship will take place at the post-match presentation of awards.

Thus far, the leading goal scorer in the Premier League is Troy Greenidge of Gros Islet with 12 goals followed by Malik St. Prix and Andrus Remy of La Clery with 6 and 5 goals respectively.

In other developments, the Saint Lucia Football Association [SLFA] Inc. has re-scheduled all matches slated to be played this Saturday (February 18) due to the staging of the Annual Sports Awards.

Meanwhile, young Saint Lucian striker Kegan Caull signed for NK Tolmin to play in the 3rd Division of Slovenia. The 18-year-old has so far scored 4 goals in 9 games for Europa Point FC in the Gibraltar National League this season.
