Laborie earned a hard fought 2-1 win over Roseau to get their campaign off on a positive note as the Scotts Sports and Award / SLFA Inc. Super Cup, kicked off at the Soufriere Mini Stadium Monday evening.
Shervin Eleuthere shot Roseau into the lead with a penalty in the 3rd min of play. However, in the 17th min Nikel Emmanuel equalised and the teams went to the interval locked at 1-all.
Both teams fought gallantly for the elusive go ahead goal. But it was Laborie who would forge ahead with a well struck penalty by Zephaniah Edwin in the 1st min of added on time, resulting in a 2 – 1 victory.
Anse la Raye and Choiseul played to an exciting 1 – 1 draw after being reduced to 10 players each.
Zach St. Aimee scored for Choiseul in the 17th minute while Mc. Arthur Louis netted for Anse la Raye in the 21st min.

Meanwhile, Mabouya Valley beat Desruisseaux and pulled through to emerge champions of the SLFA Eastern Zone U-19 tournament, which concluded on Sunday.
After a goalless draw at regulation time, the championship had to be settled from the spot. And it was Mabouya Valley that triumphed as the eventual champions, winning 8-7.
