A 35-year-old security guard in St. Vincent has been slapped with two counts of indecent assault in connection with a video showing a 4-year-old girl performing fellatio on him.
The individual according to publication IWN, has been jailed and faces a maximum of five years in prison.
The video of the child performing the sex act became public and was widely shared on messaging platforms causing an uproar within the community.
Officials from the RSVG Police department promptly released a statement on the matter reminding citizens that it is an offence to produce, make available, distribute, procure, possess or obtain child pornography through a computer system or on a computer data storage medium under the Cybercrime Act 2016.
The RSVGPF went on record encouraging persons to desist from sharing or storing and to delete the pornographic video of the child that was being circulated via various mediums.
“This is very damaging to the child and can affect her in the future”, the statement said.
The accused, according to reports pleaded guilty to one count of indecent assault of the child, committed between Dec. 31, 2019 and Jan. 1, 2021, and another on Dec. 29, 2021.
