During the weekend of January 7-10, the Saint Lucia Fire Service responded to 50 ambulance-related calls.
Stacy Joseph, Leading Fire Fighter at the Saint Lucia Fire Service and the media officer, said 11 of the answered calls were related to motor vehicles, and 3 to physical assaults.
At approximately 3:45 pm on Sunday, January 9, SLFS headquarters officers responded with assistance from Babonneau and Gros Islet Fire Stations to a structure fire in Barnard Hill, Castries.
Despite the flames engulfing a canteen, firefighters found no injuries or other property damage.
