The Mount Sinai Baptist Church located on Marchand Road in Castries has had another successful outreach in the neighbouring community.
The congregation led by Elder Gregory Dickson for three consecutive Sundays in December handed our close to 30 hampers to families in need within the Marchand Community.
On December 13th, St. Lucia’s National Day, the church organized a special luncheon event for over 250 underprivileged residents of the community. According to Alvina Donai, the Mount Sinai Baptist Church Events Coordinator and Church Leader Elder Gregory Dickson, “we had planned to feed 200 people, but we ended up feeding well over that amount.”
Church members were delighted with the success of the drive and also pleased with the response from the community.
That ‘s what its all about; when one says Church, its not always putting on your Sunday best to show how Holy thou art. Its the Love, the giving, its the community showing the love of Christ, and the Lord who sees all, is pleased and His Blessings flow.God is still in the business of miracles, and I believe in miracles, because I am a product of His miracles. Relatives and friends tell me on a daily basis, they can’t believe it. Are you still the man, are you still this, or that or the other? what is the secret, the formula? none really, just the love of Christ, one to another, just as this Church is doing, but be real, be truthful, do it with the love of Christ, it just comes naturally. Today spread the love, meet someone, say ‘God Bless’ love is simple and its kind, do good even to the one who hates you, pray for them, it will surprise you in the end, Tonight, pray and thank the Lord for tomorrow, for we never know what tomorrow may bring.
