TRINIDADIAN born football coach Jamaal Shabazz will remain in charge of the Saint Lucia National senior men football team, that’s the word coming from the office of the Saint Lucia Football Association (SLFA) Inc last week.
The SLFA has made a number of appointments to various national teams which are to begin preparation for various regional and international Championships.
Shabazz is no stranger to the job, he has coached Joe Public from Trinidad and Tobago (1999 – 2000), Morvant Caledonia United (2000 – 2005), Guyana, Golden Jaguars (2005 – 2008, 2011 – 2012 and 2015 – 2016), Trinidad and Tobago, Soca Warriors (2012 – 2013), Trinidad and Tobago, Soca Princesses (2017 – 2018) and Saint Lucia (2019 to present).
Shabazz will have alongside him former national player, Francis Lastic – as his assistant coach and Denver Samuel – manager.
The SLFA has also appointed Michael Annius and Wade Clovis as fitness instructors for all the teams.

Under 14 Boys, Head Coach – Trevor Anderson, Assistant Coach – Hiram Hunte and Manager – Adolphus Henry.
Under 14 Girls, Head Coach – Denis Didier, Assistant Coach – Emilly Remy and Shennel Francis, Manager – Examine Philbert.
Under 17 Girls, Head Coach – Jamil Joseph, Assistant Coach – Macrina Fanus, Manager – Examine Philbert and Alex Alcindor.
Under 17 Boys, Head Coach – Emmanuel Bellas, Assistant Coach – Miron Louis, Manager – Michael Pierre.
A joint meeting of the Technical Teams took place on Wednesday 19th May 2021 at 3:30 p.m. at the Conference Room of the SLFA at La Clery.
At that meeting the roles of everyone was discussed as all teams will be working in harmony with the SLFA’s overall development programme.
