The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force Welfare Association, along with the Office of the Commissioner of Police, on Friday, May 14, 2021, visited the Police in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
During the visit, a financial contribution along with water and other supplies was provided to St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ Police Welfare Association from the Saint Lucian contingent. The donation was made possible through contributions made by police officers in Saint Lucia, who wished to provide support to affected members in our sister island.
The contingent also visited with local officers from the Special Services Unit who are currently posted in St. Vincent. “They remain in good spirits and are committed to continuing to support the law enforcement efforts therein.” The Police Marine Unit subsequently made a donation of supplies to the St. Vincent Coast Guard.
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force reaffirmed its solidarity with their neighbours and pledge to continue rendering any assistance possible during this time to St. Vincent and also encourages persons able to make contributions, to do so through NEMO Saint Lucia.
