An announcement of a Health package made by France President, Emmanuel Macron, is set to bring relief to many parents whose children are victims of psychological disorders because of the health crisis.
The package will cater to children and adolescents who are particularly exposed to depression during the Covid-19 crisis. General practitioners have warned of the exponential number of cases of depression and other eating disorders recorded during the long period.
“The use of psychiatric emergencies has increased probably because of the closure of schools, social isolation, confinement.”
The 100% support package will be available throughout the health crisis and will see children and teenagers from 3 to 17 years old engage in a 45-minute session. Health officials have reiterated that aĀ medical prescription will be required.
