Saint Lucia Records 10 New Cases of COVID-19

The Ministry of Health and Wellness on Monday April 26, 2021 received confirmation of 10 new cases of COVID-19 from the Ezra Long Laboratory. This is from a total of 89 samples taken on April 23 and April 24, 2021 and were processed on April 25, 2021.

The Ministry of Heath also received confirmation of the recovery of 16 individuals bringing the total number of active cases in country to date to 97. Presently, all of the active cases are doing well. The new cases bring the total number of cases diagnosed in country to date to 4502.

As of April 23, 2021, a total of 23, 941 individuals have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 392 individuals have received the second dose. On Tuesday, April 27, 2021 the health team will be administering the COVID-19 vaccine at the catering to individuals receiving the second dose of the vaccine and those in Phase Two of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign.
