THE Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) has released an inspirational Christmas video Message. The message is a feature of the Authority’s ‘12 Days of Christmas’, that highlights Saint Lucia’s most profound Christmas traditions on Travel Saint Lucia’s Social media platforms. It also coincides with the SLTA’s Month of Gratitude, acknowledging our people and visitors for making Saint Lucia a destination of top choice amongst meccas of the industry.
The video depicts the welcoming smiles of the people, customary solo music and dance as well as showcases the warm sandy beaches, irresistible sunsets and the peaks and valleys of the islands. The video is bedded with the song “Merry Christmas” by one of one of the island’s greatest cultural icons and son of the soil, the late calypsonian- Jeff Elva, more affectionately known as the Mighty Pelay.
Speaking on the release of the Christmas Video Message, Tourism Minister Honourable Dominic Fedee said; “While we celebrate this time of year in a very different manner from our ritual, we want to keep what is truly yours alive while we reflect on a trying period with the privilege of being reminded through this video of our resiliency. We sympathize with all affected by this pandemic and as we look forward to greater days ahead for our island’s people, we wish that the gift of love, joy and peace by yours this Christmas and beyond.”
As we continue the trajectory of Keeping Saint Lucia Safe amid the pandemic, we encourage everyone to take personal responsibility in observing the Covid-19 protocols outlined by the Health Authorities.
