THe Vieux-Fort South Football League (VFSFL) closed its 2020 calendar of activities on Saturday 12th December with its annual Awards Ceremony which took place at the Kimatrai Hotel.
The Ceremony featured the awarding of prizes to recipients of the Dr. Kenny Anthony Cup.
The Dr. Kenny Anthony Cup, which has been sponsored by the Parliamentary Representative for Vieux Fort South, has been one of the Premiere Senior Competitions of the League for a number of years.
This tournament saw Platinum FC receiving the first place trophy and $3000.00; Uptown Rebels received the second place trophy and $1500.00 and Shamballah Shiloh the third place trophy and $800.00.
Individual prizes went to: Jevic Mc Farlane and Antonio Joseph who tied for the most goals.
A special feature of that ceremony was the presentation of sponsorship trophies and medals by Cletus Fevrier and Trevor Clarke of the Fevriere/Clarke Foundation.
The trophies are expected to be part of the overall sponsorship for the Under 11 and Under 13 boys competition.
The Foundation has been assisting the VFSFL with incentives and equipment for its youth programme for the past three years.
As we close the 2020 season, the VFSFL wishes to express gratitude to all its sponsors, supporters, fans, clubs, and players for their invaluable contribution to the success of the League over the years.
We wish to implore all to keep practicing the safety protocols and remain safe during the season. Season’s greetings to all.
