THE Management of 1st National Bank and the National Workers Union (NWU) signed their first industrial contract Tuesday December 8, 2020.
The signing is historic and completes the NWU’s initiative to be the bargaining representative of all the banking institutions and eight credit unions on island.
The industrial contract which will run for a period of four (4) years makes provisions for a regime of fringe benefits, regulated working conditions and a revised wage structure.
Going forward, the union and the company will continue periodical discussions at domestic level aimed at finding a more suitable wage structure that would mirror reclassification.
