GOVERNMENT House on Morne Fortune was the place to be last Sunday afternoon as hundreds of women from all social strata gathered on its grounds to celebrate International Women’s Day and simply have a good time.
The place was awash with Pink, it being the colour theme for the gathering. It was the second time, last year being the first, the pretty in pink, with a hat affair was held as ladies outdid themselves in dress and fashion.

It was an afternoon where all shades of pink collided where prizes were given for best dress and best fascinator.
It was an afternoon of inspiring stories delivered by women who have had extraordinary struggles in overcoming daunting situations. Trunk show, door prizes, raffles, auctions, good food and wines were all part of the afternoon’s celebration.
Whatever monies made that afternoon went to the Saint Lucia Nurses Association. The event was labelled “Tea and Testimony” and was hosted by Raquel Du Boulay-Chastanet.
