PRIME Minister Allen Chastanet on November 13th 2019 addressed the 13th annual Global Citizenship Conference hosted by Henley & Partners in London. The Prime Minister spoke on the topic of Saint Lucia’s Citizenship by Investment Programme, including due diligence and the island’s tourism and real estate markets.
Prime Minister Chastanet was also part of a panel discussion on “Citizenship by Investment on the World Stage” which featured Prime Minister of Malta Dr Joseph Muscat, Prime Minister of Montenegro Dusko Markovic, Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania Edi Rama and Prime Minister of Antigua Gaston Browne.
The annual event has become the world’s largest and most significant conference on investment migration. The event was expected to have over 450 attendees, a multitude of industry leaders, top-tier international service providers, and senior government officials on hand to share first-hand information on the latest developments in residence and citizenship planning.
CEO of Saint Lucia’s CIP, Nestor Alfred also attended the conference and was part of a panel discussion on “A vision for the Caribbean: The Challenges and Opportunities of the Future”.
In the Prime Minister’s absence, Minister for Economic Development, Housing, Urban Renewal, Transport and Civil Aviation Guy Joseph served as acting Prime Minister.
