IT is that time of year again when Veterans in Sports Inc. under the theme Kick for a Cure, presents the Top Ten Super Knockout Tournament scheduled for Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd November 2019 at the Phillip Marcellin Grounds (PMG) in Vieux Fort.
According to the organizers, the preliminary round of matches will be played on Saturday 2nd November with the semifinals and grand finals scheduled for Sunday 3rd November 2019.
Ten teams have been seeded with Micoud Veterans and Flow Lancers ranked One and Two and afforded a bye to the second round.
The other eight teams are subsequently ranked: Gros Islet Veterans, Central Vieux Fort, Soufriere Veterans, Labowee Connexions, Marchand Veterans, VSADC Veterans, Laborie Veterans and All Blacks Dennery.
There will be an exhibition match on Sunday 3rd November featuring Island Masters out of Canada coming up against Caricom Masters at 6.30 pm.
The schedule of matches for Saturday 2nd November is as follows:
From 3.00 p.m. Laborie Veterans versus VSADC; Marchand Veterans versus All Blacks Dennery at 4.00 p.m.; Central Vieux Fort versus Soufriere Veterans at 5.00 p.m. and Labowee Connexions versus Gros Islet Veterans at 6.00 p.m.
The second round of matches scheduled for the day will see the winner of the VSADC / Laborie Veterans match playing Micoud Veterans at 7.00 p.m.
Then at 8.00 pm, Flow Lancers FC plays the winner of the Marchand Veterans / All Blacks Dennery.
The following day the tournament will commence with the conclusion of the second round of matches.
