expected to bowl off on Tuesday 3rd September 2019 at the Mindoo Phillip Park (MPP) from 4:45 p.m.

According to Brian Calixte, Saint Lucia National Cricket Association Operations Manager, players from all over the island have confirmed participation with the six clubs for this incentive based spectacle. Players are expected to be rewarded with cash for catches taken, direct hit runouts and hits of sixes and fours.

Calixte said, “Umpires will also be given the latitude to use red and yellow cards for unsportsman like behaviour – obscene language and gestures as well as dissent to umpire’s decisions”.

“If a player is issued a red card, the player involved plays no more part and penalty runs will be awarded to the opponents. The red card will be the maximum for a 6 ball over which is 36 runs”.

The six teams and marquee player are as follows: Warriors – Dillan John, Spartan Strikers – Jamal James, Ravaging Royals – Bronte Bess, Police – Esau Gabriel, Katahars – Tylar Sookwa and Cobras – Kester Charlemagne.

The competition will officially bowl off on Tuesday 3rd September with the captains 1 versus 1 challenge at the Mindoo Phillip Park. The six marquee captains will play in a one over a side knockout match with fielding to be done by the South Castries Under 19 team.
