From 7.00 p.m. at the Phillip Marcellin Ground (PMG) in a rescheduled match due to weekend rain and fresh from their 126 runs win over Vieux Fort North Raiders (VFNR), Mon Repos Pioneers (MRP) will take on South Castries Lions (SCL); a must win for SCL after they were defeated by Gros Islet last Wednesday by 2 wickets.
Last evening in another rescheduled match that was also postponed due to rain, the Daren Sammy led Avatar City Masters took on Choiseul Craftmasters.
Meanwhile, as action continued on Sunday evening at the Phillip Marcelin Grounds, Shervin Charles hit a whirlwind 60 from 32 deliveries, when the Mon Repos Pioneers defeated the Vieux Fort North Raiders.
In the only match played on the weekend due to persistent rain from Thursday afternoon, Mon Repos scored 224 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs. Charles’ innings included 6 fours and 4 sixes. Other contributions with the bat; opening batsman Sabinus Emmanuel 48 from 31 balls, Mervin Wells 38 from 27 balls, Craig Emmanuel 24 from 12 balls, Kernan Henry 11 and Evanus Emmanuel 8 not out.

Needing 225 for victory, VFNR lost five wickets with the score on 86 in 17.5 overs, but at the end could only manage 98 for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Opening batsman Julian Sylvester, the only batsman to show any resistance, made 43 from 54 deliveries. Travis Gifford scored 14 not out and Shem Paul 0 not out.
