THE CEO of Saint Lucia’s main water company has joined the new leadership of the Caribbean’s main water association ahead of Saint Lucia hosting a major water conference next year.
Mr Edmund Regis, the General manager of the Water and Sewerage Company, WASCO, has been elected as Treasurer of the Caribbean Water and Sewerage Authority (CAWASA).
The Annual General Meeting of CAWASA Inc. was held on 11 October, 2018 during the 27th Annual Conference of the Caribbsn Water and Waste-Waer Association (CWWA) at the Hilton Rose Hall, Montego Bay, Jamaica.
The following officers were elected to the Executive Committee for the next 3 years — President: Mr. Christopher Husbands, General Manager of NAWASA, Grenada,; Vice President: Mrs. PerlineScatliffe- Lennard, Director of BVI Water and Sewerage Department; Secretary: Mr. Garth Saunders General Manager of the CWSA, St. Vincent and the Grenadines; Treasurer: Mr. Edmund Regis, General Manager of WASCO, Saint Lucia ; and Immediate Past President: Mr. Bernard Ettinoffe, General Manager of DOWASCO, Dominica.
CAWASA 6th Water Operators’ Conference will be hosted by WASCO in June, 2019.
