Castries Lions Club presented wheelchairs to St. Lucy’s Home for the Elderly

CASTRIES September 23, 2018-The Castries Lions Club presented two wheelchairs to the St. Lucy’s Home for the Elderly.

The wheelchairs were a kind donation from a resident of Martinique Mr. Augustin Bon-Bois who pledged to work closely with the Castries Lions club by making similar donations in the future. That’s according to Lion Mary Mavis Popo, Vice President of the Castries Lions club who made the presentation on the club’s behalf.

Mr. Sylvester Phillip, Administrator of the St. Lucy’s Home for the elderly, in receiving the donation explained that many of the residence are immobile and therefore, the wheelchairs will assist.

Mr. Phillip, further thanked the Castries Lions Club for its continuous service to the residents of the Home for the Elderly through their feeding programme every fourth Sunday of the month and other donations over the years.

The Castries Lions Club has 45 members and meets on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00pm at San Souci, Castries.
