The defending champions El Nino have so far scored 13 goals in their first two matches, while Small Axe, know that only a win can get them through to the semifinal round. On the other side of the coin, Diamond Ballers are the surprised second place team with 5 points in three games. It now means the teams in Group B can qualify for the semifinal round.

According to Innocent St.Ange, President DFL, “Thus far we have had a very successful tournament. DX United FC top Group A with 7 points, while La Courvillsecure the second spot with 5 points. One would expect Green Monsters would have been successful after being in the finals in 2016 -2017, but after having only 1 point in two games their chances of qualifying was no longer in their hands.

One match was played on Thursday 23rd, between DX United FC and La Courvill FC and after 90 minutes of regulation time, despite both teams having scoring opportunities on either end of the pitch the encounter ended in a 0-0 draw, which means, the two teams collected 1 point each.

Meanwhile, despite the inclement weather conditions on Wednesday 22nd August the tournament continued with one match on the card as Diamond Ballers FC took on Blanchard United FC for a second spot in group B.

Diamond Ballers FC took an early lead in the 5th minute of play from the boot of Tyric, but a few minutes later Pierre was on the score sheet again, this time scoring an own goal giving Blanchard United FC the much deserved equalizer to end the first half of play 1-1.

On the resumption, Chad Maximin put Blanchard United FC in the lead with a 47th minute strike. It was game on from here and with great determination Diamond Ballers FC applied relentless pressure to get the equalizer which paid off as Lamar Serieux scored in the 75th minute.

With time running out and fading light due to the weather, the continuous pressure from Diamond Ballers FC saw ShaskaPhilbert from Blanchand United FC put the ball into his own net to making it 3-2 in favour of Diamond Ballers FC. Such an unfortunate way to lose at the end.
