THE Cultural Development Foundation (CDF) has a new chairman. He’s Daniel Belizaire, who will be serving out the term of the former chairman Lamphries Cherubim, which ends 30 September 2019.
Belizaire was introduced to the media by Culture Minister Fortuna Belrose yesterday, who described him as “coming in with a wealth of experience in terms of St. Lucian culture”.
Belizaire said he was joyful and honoured to be appointed as chairperson of the CDF, adding that there is a huge task ahead of him and that he looked forward to the job.
Last week, the new Chairman met with the CDF board and some staff members.
He told reporters that prior to his appointment, he saw some areas within the cultural landscape that needed improvements that he has already brought up with the board.
