PRESS RELEASE – THE Biennial Convention of the St. Lucia Civil Service Association (CSA) which included the election of members to the Executive Council on April 25, 2018 will continue with the Conference of Delegates to be held on Wednesday, May 30, in fulfilment of the Revised Constitution of the Union.
This year, 125 delegates are expected to attend the Conference which will be held in two parts – an open session and a business session. Comrade Julian Monrose, President of the St. Lucia Trade Union Federation as well as President of the St. Lucia Teachers Union will deliver a keynote address at the Open Session under the theme “Safeguarding Workers Interest in a Changing Environment”.
Representatives from the St. Lucia Trade Union Federation and the National Workers Union have also been invited to attend the Open Session.
The Business Session will receive and review reports on the work of the Union over the past two years, elect members to the various Standing Committees, adopt the report of the Election Commission and discuss the way forward for the Union given the nature of the industrial relations climate in the country.
