PRESS RELEASE – 15 March 2018 – The Staff and students of the Vieux-Fort Lions Preschool were the proud recipients of a Dell laptop computer donated by Computer and Business Services (CBS) Ltd.
Ms. Danah Prescott, Preschool Administrator was present at the handover, which took place at CBS’ main office on Lanse Road, Castries. The presentation was made by Mr. Hassan Euristee, Sales Manager, CBS.
On receiving the computer, Ms. Prescott, thanked the Management and Staff of CBS for their contribution and commitment to the preschool. She stated:
“Your donation will help enrich and modernise the delivery of the preschool’s early childhood education programme and will make a difference in the lives of many”.
The acquisition of the a computer will help the school fulfill one of the Ministry of Education’s requirements for the Early Childhood Programme (ELP) that relates to the access and use of technology for teaching and learning.
The Vieux Fort Lions Preschool is a signature project of the Lions Club of Vieux-Fort. Since the preschool opened its doors in 1977, it has successfully catered to the developmental and pedagogical needs of many underprivileged and low-income families within the community of Vieux Fort and its environs; by offering full-time placement for children aged 2 to 5 years. The preschool follows the prescribed curriculum for early childhood education. The preschool has been singled out as a model school and maintains a strong reputation for producing students who are well adjusted and adequately prepared to transition into the primary-level programme.
Computer and Business Services Ltd is a computer solutions company that offers a wide range of computer hardware and software services. The main office of CBS is located on Lanse Road Castries.
