Youth In Action!

A question from the floor

PRESS RELEASE – IN about two weeks’ time St. Lucians will be celebrating National Day (December 13). As a nation, we have lots to celebrate, especially our human resources. Oh, yes, we have many great men and women who have made St. Lucia proud.

As a nation, we need to thank God for sparing us from the ravages of the two hurricanes that affected almost all our sister islands. However, we can’t be proud of what is happening here, no matter on which political fence you stand. The Almighty God gave us a remedy. Not too much talking, not too much attacking each other, not too much harsh criticism of each other, not too much cover-up. These things further divide us as a nation. It is simple. We need to pray.

The Bible states in 2 Chronicles 7:14 “if my people who are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sins and heal their land.”

Well, the DerniereRiviere Joyful Assembly Youth Group will be hosting a prayer and praise session at the mini stadium at La Ressource, Dennery on December 13, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. We invite all of you to attend. Peradventure God will spare us as He did in the time of Jonah when, from the king to animals repented. God turned things around for the inhabitants. Let’s make it a date!
