GUINNESS Saint Lucia is a proud sponsor of this weekend’s “Rise Up” Reggae Festival, featuring headliners Jah Cure and Sizzla, as well as Meshach, Rob “Zi” Taylor and Phyness and DYP from Saint Lucia.
According to Guinness Brand Manager, Rohan Lovence, when he was approached by the promoters to be a part of the event, he immediately saw this as the perfect marriage between the “Rise Up” concept and “Guinness Made of More” tagline.
“As a brand that is distinctly made of more, we have partnered with the coordinators of “Rise Up” as the official stout of the festival and gave our consumers the opportunity to win passes to the Guinness Black Lounge where they will be afforded the opportunity to interact with the brand and to enjoy the performances from the best vantage point at the venue,” Lovence said.
After actively engaging consumers over the last few weeks via radio and during Guinness’ Thursday event, TGIT (Thank Guinness its Thursday), twenty-five lucky winners were chosen to experience how Guinness is made of more at “Rise Up” this Sunday.
The winners were announced on Wednesday at The WLBL Commercial building in Vide Boutielle Castries. One winner also got the ultimate package of a VIP experience, which includes a pick-up by the Guinness entourage in a black Escalade to be driven to the event in Soufriere.
Patrons had the opportunity to win passes through Instagram, Facebook and radio stations, including The Wave, Blazing FM and RCI, who partnered with Guinness St. Lucia to bring the promotion to life.
The winners were also presented with special Guinness packs on Wednesday and had the opportunity to interact with media personality and “Rise Up” coordinator, Empress Jeanille, as well as other local media personalities.
The grand prize winner received complete VIP experience which includes pick-up by the Guinness entourage, 2 VIP passes to the “Rise Up” concert and 2 passes to the Guinness Black Lounge at the event. The other winners walked away with Black Lounge packages to the Rise Up concert.
Lovence said he was pleased with the level of promotion that went into the event and was excited about Sunday’s “Rise Up” concert, particularly the breathtaking experience which Guinness will be sharing with patrons.
