THE final of the inaugural Men’s Under-21 Vizions Football Tournament sponsored by the Saint Lucia Football Association will kick off from 7:00 p.m. tomorrow at the Phillip Marcellin Grounds in Vieux Fort when Soufriere and Vieux Fort South play for glory.
The two teams made it to the final with wins over Marchand and Vieux Fort North respectively last weekend when they scored nine goals between them at the same venue. Soufriere thrashed Marchand 4-0 while Vieux Fort South with four goals from the boots of Antonio Joseph defeated neighbours VFN 5-1.
Soufriere are expected to come out firing with the dependable Lindell Perpie in goal. Alongside him will be the likes of Jordon Henry, Neil James, Lurick Simon, Andy Joseph, Michael and Yanic Jean.
Meanwhile, VFS will look to emulate their senior counterparts who won the Blackheart Knockout tournament in October.
Under the watchful eyes of Head Coach, Emmanuel Belasse and playing on home turf, the likes of Nyrone Winter, Noah Nicholas, Jervic Mc Farlane, Antonius Mayers and Antonio Joseph — along with Leon Alexander in goal – Soufriere’s defense is expected to be kept busy from start to finish.
