THE St Lucia Tennis Association successfully hosted a five day overnight training and development camp which ended yesterday for 12 & under players at the National Tennis Centre (NTC) in Beausejour, Gros Islet.
Players from training programmes at the NTC and the grassroots programme had an opportunity to play tennis and receive lots of instructions from our National Coach from Cuba Carlos Lopez and local Coach Ricardo Francois.
Players were able to express themselves in indoor classroom sessions, and compete in a mini tournament at the end of the camp.
Camps like these are held for junior players to get more court time and prepare them for tournaments. The Association said it is indebted to its members who made this camp possible with their kind donations and assistance when needed.
