WEATHER permitting the curtains will come down today on the Shamfest Netball Festival currently being played at the Vigie Multi-Purpose Sports Complex.
The action will commence at 1:30 p.m with the Shooting competition; while at 2:30 p.m the winner of the under -16 Division, St. Joseph’s Convent Egrets will play a combined team.
From 4:00 p.m. things shift into high gear when Shamrock take on the winner of the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College /Northern Arrow encounter that was played last evening.
Immediately following the finals the closing ceremony will be held.
In another game played last evening, Bocage Secondary School played Gros Islet Secondary School.
Meanwhile in another match during the week, Corinth Secondary School defeated Bocage Secondary by 29 – 21 goals. For Corinth (GS) Dasha Eugene scored 13 goals from 17 attempts and (GA) Jemela Phillips netted 16 from 29 attempts. For Bocage, (GS) Tessa Reneau scored 16 goals from 31 attempts and (GA) Jaya Bennett netted 5 from 6 attempts.
